My new project for 2016 is to work on series of drawings, photographs, etchings and collages based on the new Kodiak Bear Cubs that are on exhibit at Wildwood Park and Zoo located in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Come and explore the the northwoods of Wisconsin during July 25th-27th and discover the many artists of the northwoods.
I will be demonstrating the art of printmaking during these dates from 10:00 am- 5:00pm at Odonata Gallery located in Mercer Wisconsin, just off of Hwy 51 north.

Manito Art League is a non for profit organization and has awarded more than $155,000.00 in scholarships over the years, thanks to the gifts of our many patrons. This year the League will award approximately $5,000.00 in scholarship funds to area residents age 18 and older to promote and foster artistic pursuits. The Manito Art League is extremely grateful for the continued support of it’s patrons. Their generosity has made our scholarship program a great success. “We acknowledge Ms. Flora “Be” Dunlap of Rockford, Illinois, who administers the annual $500.00 Ruthford/Raedeke Memorial Scholarship in the Arts. Susan Kloch Wendlandt is a professional studio artist in Arbor Vitae, WI. is very excited to be honored as the Artist of the Month at the Presque Isle Library during the month of July and August. Susan is also the instructor for the 2014 Discovery Arts Camp to be held at the Presque Isle WI. Community Center during the week of August11th through August 14th.

Wendlandt looks forward to leading the arts camp participants on daily artistic adventures that can improve an artist’s drawing and painting skills, while learning the importance of “The Creative Process” and how this knowledge can take camp participants down unexpected artistically inspired roads.
A native of Chicago, Illinois Susan’s artwork often reflects a blend of that Chicago attitude, energy and perspective, sprinkled with a touch of the Wisconsin north woods flavor.
Her work ranges from Intaglio printmaking, surrealistic charcoal drawings, photography, collage, paper sculptures, assemblages and mixed media. The theme’s of Susan’s work ranges from the nature of the north woods to artwork that speaks to the diversity of communicative formats and their impact on humanity.
Wendlandt became an international artist through her participation in “The Bakers Dozen” an International Collage Exchange and Sale held in New Zealand in 2008. Susan’s collages have also been on exhibit in Poland, Germany and France and six of her Original Intaglio Prints are part of a permanent Mail Art Exhibit in Arcevia Italy.
Susan will also be demonstrating her printmaking skills at Odonata Art Gallery located in Mercer, WI. during the NORTHWOODS Art Tour on July 25th,26th and 27th..

100 Years of Growing Wisconsin Leaders: 94th Wisconsin 4-H & Youth Conference Program June 23-26, 2014
Susan Kloch Wendlandt of Marshfield , WI. is an advisor to the Wisconsin State 4-H Drama Company and Katherine Kloch Wendlandt of Marshfield is the dance choreographer for the Wisconsin State 4-H Showcase Singers spent nine days working with their designated performing 4-H Arts Teams helping them create a 45 -60 minute performance given at an assembly to an audience of almost 700 people at the Madison Masonic Center Auditorium.
The Wisconsin State 4-H Showcase Singers is comprised of 20 older youth that volunteer their time and talents to create a 45 minute performance
In this centennial year of Wisconsin 4-H, “100 Years of Growing Wisconsin Leaders” will be explored and celebrated throughout the event. A wide variety of assemblies, seminars, and service projects will allow delegates to broaden interests and develop new skills. The educational focus will be on national 4-H Mission Mandates (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and the Arts; Health Living; and Civic Education) and building life skills.
Since their formation in 1987,the Wisconsin 4-H Showcase singers troupe has become one of Wisconsin’s premier youth performing organizations. Membership in Showcase Singers results in the pride of achieving a very high level of performance, and a strong bond of friendship and “family”.
Showcase Singers members are selected from throughout Wisconsin, rehearse throughout the summer, and perform at this conference, at various county fairs, and in a series of shows at the Wisconsin State Fair.

This years Drama company is comprised of older youth and adults from throughout Wisconsin. They create a performance piece to be presented on Tuesday evening during the 2014 Wisconsin State 4-H & Youth Conference, and will present a series of performances at the Wisconsin State Fair in West Ellis, WI.
The 2014 Wisconsin State 4-H Drama Company has 32 participating members this year. The Drama company members have five days to create (which involves creating stories, write scripts, learning dance choreography for multiple dance segments and creating back drops and props) resulting in a 50 minute performance that incorporates, one vocal performance, three dance segments and multiple skits that takes the audience on a thought proving journey! Everyone works about 12 hours a everyday in order to create the final polished performance.

The Art Discipline at UW- Marshfield Campus embraces the many possible forms and functions of art. The images on this video represent the Introduction to Drawing Course offered at the UW Marshfield / Wood County Campus during the first semester of course study in the Fall of 2013.
